I never expected to have such a pleasant and calming home inspection experience. I reached out to the 6 best-rated companies in the Fox Valley area and Peter's response was not only the most thorough and thoughtful, but also included the most detail. The invoice and billing process was professional, streamlined, and well-put-together. Peter provided text and email reminders and included my real estate agent on communication so I didn't have to go back and forth between them when scheduling. The inspection process took 2-3 hours and was BEYOND thorough. Peter went above and beyond to inspect every available nook and niche. The poor guy was covered in spider webs, dirt, and dust when he was finished--a sign of a house well-inspected. The inspection report is AMAZING and easy to read and understand. It was sent to me the day after the inspection and breaks down each area inspected, color coding each repair's level of severity. The inspection report also includes an INCREDIBLY useful separate summary report that only includes the pictures, descriptions, and recommendations of needed repairs/defects/etc. My fiancé and I fully expected to feel overwhelmed when looking at the inspection report, but the way Peter put it together, we don't feel nervous or worried at all. We actually feel prepared and able to tackle each item on the list because Peter organized everything so well and provided helpful descriptions of issues and recommendations of what type of contractor we should contact. Peter also gave us a nifty homeowner's guide, a list of recommendations for local contractors, and a lovely handwritten thank you card. Based on my experience, I will only ever recommend Blue Guardian.
