Hello my name is Steven Powell. I am the owner and operator at Next Door Home Inspector. People that know me well might say that I am easy going, very detailed, organized, friendly, and trustworthy. I take pride in whatever I do and always strive to be the best at whatever I do. I am an Ogden High School Graduate and a Weber State University Graduate with a bachelor of science degree in Technical Sales.
I am a happily married to wife Sandy (20 years) and together we have three wonderful boys (Coltin, Connor, & Cody). I have to say wife Sandy is the brains of the family. She also is a Ogden High School Graduate, Weber State University Graduate, and obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy from Roseman University of Health Sciences. She currently is an oncology pharmacist at McKay Dee Hospital in the Cancer Clinic.
I love sports and most anything in the outdoors. I love to Golf and currently am a +2 handicap. I finished the inaugural 2010 Ironman at St. George Utah (140.2 miles) finishing 97th overall with a time of 10:59:00. I proudly finished the Ogden Marathon under 3 hours and qualified for the Boston Marathon. My family and I love to backpack. Our greatest trek was completing the highline trail across the Uintah Mountains. When I can find some free time I love to ride my dirt bike on some single track, snowboard, or hit the river for some fly fishing.
