Renewal & Continuing Education
Biennial renewal on October 1, tiered CE up to 32 hours per cycle

Indiana home inspector licenses renew every two years on October 1 of odd-numbered years. The renewal fee is $50 if filed before the expiration date, with a $100 late fee for renewals filed after expiration. CE requirements are tiered by how long you've held the license: inspectors with 24 or more months in active status must complete 32 hours of approved continuing education per biennial cycle; those with 12–24 months need 16 hours; first-cycle licensees with less than 12 months in active status have no CE requirement. Proof of current liability insurance must accompany every renewal. CE hours must be earned within the biennial cycle and cannot be carried over.
